Expert Advisor

Expert Advisor (EA) is a fully automated trading system attached to a certain chart. MetaTrader 4 Client Terminal enables to backtest EA on historical data. There is also a possibility to optimize EA’s parameters. Expert Advisor can operate in mode that requires trader's confirmations.

Expert Advisors are stored in experts subdirectory of the terminal directory (e.g. C:\Program Files\MetaTrader 4\experts).

MetaTrader's Expert Advisors have greater abilities than an overwhelming majority of programs for automated trading written for other trading platforms. For example thanks to MetaTrader's Expert Advisors it is very simple to build multi-timeframe strategy or to gain access to the data of historical trades.
