MetaQuotes Language 4 (MQL 4) is a programming language designed by MetaQuotes Software Corporation which is integrated into MetaTrader 4 Client Terminal. It allows to create programs that automate trading. MQL 4 is similar to C language but it has lots of build-in functions for sending and controlling orders, getting account information, analyzing current and previously income quotes, etc. It is also possible to use values calculated by basic build-in indicators and Custom Indicators.

MQL 4 programs can be divided into four groups:

• Expert Advisor (EA) — fully automated trading system attached to a certain chart. MetaTrader 4 Client Terminal enables to conduct back-test EA on historical data.
